Stepless Mechanical Connectors
The Pfisterer SICON shear bolt connectors have revolutionised the way shear bolt connectors operate. Conventional shear bolts have several pre-determined steps for shear points, whereas the SICON system is stepless. Shearing occurs flush with the surface of the connector, so filing is no longer necessary. A standard hex allen key is used for tightening so no special tools are needed.
1. Two-piece studs are screwed using a standard allen key
2. Pressure plate shears to provide a protection surface for the conductor

3. Shear torque is reached and the outer bolt parts shears flush
4. Inner shearing bolt is removed leaving a flush surface
